Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme has been launched by the Government of Rajasthan. Through this scheme, from next year, 100 days of employment will be provided on the work demanded on the lines of MNREGA in urban areas.

800 crore rupees will be spent for the operation of this scheme. Till now this scheme was being operated in rural areas but now this scheme will also be implemented for citizens living in urban areas.

Employment will be made available to the citizens of urban areas near their residence so that urban families can be empowered. This scheme will prove to be effective in providing employment to unemployed citizens of urban areas. Apart from this, the standard of living of the citizens of the state will also improve through this scheme.

Indira Gandhi urban employment Guarantee Plan Of under Now will get 125 Day employment

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved the proposal to implement the Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme. Under the Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme, 125 days of employment will be given by the Rajasthan government.

Earlier it was announced to provide 100 days of employment under this scheme. But now from April 1, 2023, 125 days of employment will be provided under this scheme.

For the implementation of this scheme, the government will have to bear the financial burden of 11100 crores. Whereas before this, the financial burden of about Rs 800 crore has to be borne by the government for providing 100 days of employment.

But now there will be a financial burden of Rs 1100 crore if the Rajasthan government increases employment opportunities for 25 more days under the Indira Gandhi Urban Employment Guarantee Scheme. To get the benefit of this scheme, registration can be done through Jan Aadhaar card.
