Under what circumstances assistance will be provided under Mukhyamantri Kisan Sahay Yojana?

  • On drought: If there is a drought in any district due to which the crop has been damaged, then in this situation Chief Minister Kisan Sahay Yojana can be claimed. The condition of reading drought will be considered when either that district has received less than 10 inches of rain or it has not rained during the monsoon season.
  • In case of heavy rain: If there has been heavy rain in any district due to which the crop has been damaged, then in this situation the Chief Minister Kisan Sahay Yojana claim can be made. The condition of heavy rainfall will be considered when the district has received 35 inches of rain or continuous rain for 48 hours.
  • In case of unseasonal rains: If there has been unseasonal rain in a district, due to which the crop has been damaged, then in this situation the Chief Minister Kisan Sahay Yojana can be claimed. The situation of unseasonal rains will be considered when that district has received more than 50 mm of rain for 48 hours from October 15 to November 15.

  • The benefit of this scheme will be given to the farmers of Gujarat.
  • The farmers of the state whose crops are damaged due to natural calamities like drought or excessive rains or unseasonal rains, floods etc. will be compensated by the government.
  • Under this scheme, compensation of Rs 20,000 per hectare for a maximum of four hectares will be provided by the state government to a farmer for 33% to 60% loss due to natural calamities.

  • Under this scheme, the list of beneficiary farmers will be prepared by the Revenue Department of the State Government as per the following procedure.
  • Firstly, the DC (District Collector) will prepare the list of talukas/villages whose crops are damaged due to drought, heavy rains or non-seasonal rains.
  • Then within 7 days will share the list to the revenue department.
  • In the next phase, a special survey team will review the damage to crops within 15 days.
  • After the damage survey is completed, the list of beneficiary farmers will be announced by an order signed by the District Development Officer.
  • The beneficiary list will be of two types, loss of 33% to 60% and more than 60%.

Process of preparation of beneficiary list under Mukhyamantri Kisan Sahay Yojana

  • Beneficiary list under Mukhyamantri Kisan Sahay Yojana District Collector will prepare a list of all those people of the taluka/village whose crops have been damaged due to drought, heavy rains or seasonal rains.
  • After this this list will be shared with the Revenue Department.
  • This list should be shared with the Revenue Department within 7 days.
  • After this, within 15 days, a survey team will come and review the damage.
  • After all this process is done successfully, the District Development Officer will declare the beneficiary farmer list signed by him.
