This scheme of Rajasthan is a scheme under which medical facilities are provided to common people. And at the same time, they do not have to bear the burden of treatment on themselves, the entire responsibility for it lies with the government. These schemes were launched long ago by the Gehlot government and the citizens have benefited a lot from them. Under this scheme of Gehlot government, people used to get medical facilities up to Rs 25 lakh.

The Chief Minister of Rajasthan has informed all the District Magistrates that the target of making all Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance Cards should be met and the Chiranjeevi scheme of the Gehlot government will be closed. And under this, people will be provided medical facilities. District Magistrates have been ordered to close their Chiranjeevi cards and link them to the Ayushman card and its limit will be kept between Rs 5 lakh to Rs 15 lakh. The Chief Minister of Rajasthan has given strict orders that all these activities have been asked and are expected to be completed by 26 January 2024.

Chiranjeevi Yojana will not be closed

It has been said by Bhajan Lal government that this scheme of Gehlot government will not be stopped but the health related facilities that will be provided will be done through Ayushman card and it has also been said that when Ayushman card starts being used, it will be Chiranjeevi Yojana will automatically stop. As an alternative, treatment facilities will be provided to all citizens by linking it to the Ayushman card.

The work related to Ayushman Card has started very fast and strict guidelines have been given by the new Chief Minister that no compromise should be made in this. If there is any deficiency then further action will be taken against them. Guidelines were issued to complete 100% work. If 100% of the guidelines are not followed, action will be taken against the Chief Medical Officer. Medical officials have started the work and it is estimated that there are around 66 to 67 lakh beneficiaries. And it is also being estimated that this number may increase.

Instead of Rs 25 lakh, it will now cost only Rs 5 lakh. treatment

When the Gehlot government was in power, the treatment related facilities provided there were up to Rs 25 lakh. But now the recently formed government of Bhajan Lal Sharma has issued guidelines that now people can get treatment related facilities up to Rs 5 lakh. It is being said that the state government will create some concession system at its level and they will get benefits from the same.

Treatment by private hospitals stopped under Chiranjeevi scheme

Chiranjeevi Yojana, which was earlier running for treatment, has now been closed by private hospitals and no treatment facility is being provided under it. Now only any person who has an Ayushman card in Rajasthan can get the treatment. Facility will be provided and is being informed. That now more than Rs 50 crore of previous bills of private hospitals are still pending payment.
