The inauguration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram temple is set to begin today with the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony, a sacred ritual lasting seven days. The formal consecration ceremonies are scheduled from January 16 to 21, leading to the much-awaited consecration of Shri Ram Lalla on January 22.

Ayodhya Ram Temple- Preparations and expectations

Preparations for this important event are in full swing, with more than 8,000 guests expected on the prestige day. The number of devotees is expected to increase from January 23, as the atmosphere is full of spiritual enthusiasm.

Prime Minister's presence

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to grace the occasion by participating in the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony on January 22. In this auspicious ceremony, the idol will be placed at its designated place in the 'Garbha Griha' of the temple on January 18.

Ayodhya Ram Temple 7 Day Rituals – Full Schedule

January 16–21: Atonement and Rite

The designated host will conduct the penance ceremony, which will include 'Dasavidha' bath, Vishnu puja and offering of prasad to cows on the banks of the sacred Saryu river.

17 January: Shobha Yatra of Ramlala

A grand procession will take the idol of Lord Ram in his child form (Ram Lalla) to Ayodhya. On the way to Ram Janmabhoomi temple, devotees will carry Saryu water in Mangal Kalash.

18 January: Formal rituals begin

Ganesha marks the formal beginning of Ambika Puja, Varuna Puja, Matrika Puja, Brahmin Varana, and Vastu Puja rituals.

19 January: Lighting of the sacred fire

After lighting the sacred fire, there will be establishment of 'Navagraha' and 'Havan' ceremony.

January 20: Cleaning of the sanctum sanctorum

The sanctum sanctorum of the temple will be washed with the holy water of Saryu, followed by Vaastu Shanti and Annadhivas rituals.

January 21: Divine bath and closing

There will be a divine bath with 125 Kalashas, ​​which will culminate in Shayadhivas, where the idol of Ram Lalla will be bathed and rested.

22 January: Abhishek Day

There will be consecration of Ram Lala Devta in 'Mrigashira Nakshatra' during morning puja and Pran Pratishtha at 12:20 pm, followed by 'Aarti'.
