Union Minister for Communications, Railways and Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnav will launch NITI Aayog's 'Policy for States Platform' in New Delhi. NITI Aayog's 'Policy for States' platform is a cross sectoral knowledge platform designed to build digital public infrastructure (DPI) for policy and good governance. Before launching this platform, Ashwini Vaishnav will also launch the 'Developed India Strategy Room' in NITI Aayog. The Vikas Bharat Strategy Room will enable rich visibility and engagement along with identification, information and knowledge to enable personalized decision making.
Key Features of the Platform
Important features of the platform include a live repository of 7,500 best practices and 5,000 policy documents, over 900 datasets, 1,400 data profiles and 350 policy publications. The platform includes knowledge products from 10 sectors including agriculture, education, energy, health, livelihoods and skills, manufacturing, micro, small and medium enterprises, tourism, urban, water resources and the World Health Organization's WASH strategy. Which are based on two cross-cutting topics 'Gender and Climate Change'.
The platform has an intuitive and user-friendly interface that allows users to navigate easily and can be accessed through multiple devices including mobile phones.
The 'Niti for States Platform' will facilitate the digital transformation of governance for government officials with robust, adaptive and actionable knowledge and insights, thereby improving their decision-making processes. It will also benefit state-of-the-art level functionaries like District Collectors and Block-level functionaries by providing access to innovative best practices in various States and Union Territories.

The 'Develop India Strategy Room' is an interactive space where users will be able to view data, trends, best practices and policies in an in-depth manner, allowing them to make a holistic assessment of any problem. It also allows the user to interact through voice-enabled AI and connect with multiple stakeholders through video conferencing. It has been designed as a plug-and-play model to enable replication by states, districts and blocks.
Government organizations cooperated
Various government organizations have cooperated in this initiative of NITI Aayog. In this, iGOT Karmayogi is bringing online training module called “Samarth” which can be accessed through the platform. NITI Aayog's National Data and Analytics Platform (NDAP) has been integrated to provide access to government data sets; The National e-Governance Division (NeGD) has provided support to develop the first-of-its-kind Developing India Strategy Room, while multilingual support has been provided by Bhashini. PM Gatishakti BISAG-N team in collaboration with DPIIT has also been integrated to provide geospatial tools for area based planning.
