SBI PO Eligibility Criteria
Before candidates fill out their application forms, it is crucial to ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria for the SBI PO recruitment. The eligibility requirements for SBI PO are as follows:
Educational Qualification (Up to 31st December 2023)
- Candidates must have completed their graduation from a recognized university/college.
- Applicants in their final year/semester are also eligible, provided they submit their graduation certificate at the time of the interview.
- Candidates with a Chartered Accountant qualification are also eligible.

Age Criteria
The minimum and maximum age for candidates is 21 years and 30 years, respectively, as of April 2023. (This means that candidates must have been born after 1st April 2002 and before 2nd April 1993.)
There is an upper age relaxation for various reserved categories. The table below illustrates the age relaxation for different categories:

Number of Attempts
The number of attempts for SBI PO varies based on each category. Once candidates exceed the allowed number of attempts, they are no longer eligible to apply for the position. The recruitment provides category-wise opportunities as follows:

Documents Required to Upload in SBI PO Application
When filling out the online application, candidates need to upload certain documents in the recommended format. Here are the details of the required documents:
1. Photograph
– The photograph should be recent.
– The scanned file size should be between 20 KB and 50 KB.
2. Signature
– The signature should be done on white paper with a black pen.
– The scanned file size should be between 10 KB and 20 KB.
Note: Both the photograph and signature must be clear; otherwise, your application will be rejected.

SBI PO Recruitment 2023 Selection Procedure
The selection of candidates for the SBI Probationary Officer (PO) position at SBI is conducted through a three-tiered selection process: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Group Exercise & Interview.
Phase I – Preliminary Examination
The preliminary examination is an online exam with a total of 100 marks. There are no sectional cutoffs. Candidates are selected based on the marks obtained in the online exam, and ten times the number of vacancies are shortlisted for the next phase. The preliminary exam is conducted at various exam centers across the country.
Phase II – Main Examination
Candidates who qualify in the preliminary examination based on eligibility criteria are shortlisted for the main examination. The main examination consists of both an objective test (online) and a descriptive test, with scores of 200 marks and 50 marks, respectively.
Phase III – Group Exercise and Interview
Candidates shortlisted based on the main examination scores are called for a group exercise and interview, which is conducted for 30 marks and 20 marks, respectively. The final selection is based on the cumulative scores of the main examination and group exercise/interview.
