World's largest DBT scheme

This scheme running in India is said to be the world's largest DBT scheme. The government started this scheme in the year 2018 on 24th December. Through the scheme, a total of ₹ 6000 is provided by the government to the beneficiary farmer brothers in a year. This money is given to them in three installments. Generally, the government transfers money to the bank accounts of farmer brothers every 4 months.

What is the objective of the scheme

The objective of the scheme is to provide financial support to the farmer brothers. Farmer brothers who have benefited from the scheme have told many times that because of this scheme, they get money at such times when they have to purchase pesticides, food and seeds required for the crops in their fields. The government has transferred the 15th installment of this scheme to the bank accounts of the farmers on 15th November in the year 2023.

How to get the benefit of this scheme

To avail the benefits of the scheme one has to apply online. To apply online, farmers need to provide information and documents like their Aadhaar card, bank account passbook and phone number linked to Aadhaar. Any farmer can easily apply for this scheme through the nearest public service center.

Which installment are the farmers waiting for?

Till now, about 15 installments have been given in the bank accounts of farmer brothers through this scheme. Now the farmer brothers are eagerly waiting for the 16th installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. It is expected that this installment will also be released by the government soon. When the Prime Minister himself will transfer money through this scheme, he will also announce it, so that all the farmer brothers can check whether ₹ 2000 has come to their bank account or not. Farmer brothers are getting a lot of benefit from this scheme.
