Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 15,000 is being provided to the family of the beneficiary daughter from the birth of the daughter till her education and marriage. This money is being given to them in 6 installments.

• The first installment of Rs 2,000 is being given immediately after the birth of the daughter.
• The second installment of Rs 2,000 is being given for taking admission in the school.
• The third installment of Rs 2,000 is being given on admission in secondary school.

Recently the government has given big News under this scheme, that is that the amount given to daughters under this scheme has been increased. Till now, daughters were being given Rs 15,000 in installments, but now under this scheme an amount of Rs 25,000 will be given in installments. This amount will be applicable from next year i.e. financial year 2024-25. After this announcement, the government has also said that initially 17,000 daughters will be given this benefit. The new installments will be as follows –

• From now on, the first installment of Rs 5,000 will be deposited in the bank account of the daughter's parents immediately after her birth.
• The second installment of Rs 2,000 will be given when the daughter turns one year old.
• The third installment of Rs 3,000 will be given on taking admission in the school.
• After this, the fourth installment will be of Rs 3,000 on taking admission in class 6th.
• The fifth installment is of Rs 5,000 which will be given at the time of admission in high school.
• Then if the daughter wants to do higher education, diploma or any certificate course, then the sixth installment of Rs 7,000 will be given for her.
