It has been decided by the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu to start the Mukhyamantri Van Vistar Yojana in the cabinet meeting held at the State Secretariat on July 25, 2023. So that the environment can be protected. Therefore, this scheme will soon be implemented in the entire state. Through HP Mukhyamantri Van Vistar Yojana, green cover will be promoted in the state by including the barren peaks and hills located in all the districts of the state. For which they will be completely greened by planting trees. Along with this, erosion etc. can also be stopped in the steep slope. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has informed that a task force will also be constituted under the chairmanship of the chief forest guard, chief of forest cum forest force, for the implementation of the Chief Minister’s Forest Extension Scheme. Objective of Himachal Pradesh Mukhyamantri Van Vistar Yojana

The main objective of the Himachal Pradesh government to start the Mukhya Mantri Van Vistar Yojana is to promote green cover completely by planting trees in all such districts of the state where barren peaks and hills are located. Through this scheme, not only tree plantation will be done in the state, but work will also be done for their maintenance. For which the work of plantation and maintenance will be done on outsourced basis in the areas selected by the government. In which employment will also be provided to the local people.
