Step 1: GATE 2024 Registration
- Visit the official page www.gate2024.iisc.ac.in using a computer or laptop with a stable internet connection.
- Click on “Login” and then “Register” to initiate the registration process.
- Provide your essential details, including your name, valid email id, country of residence, mobile number, and set a password for future logins.
- Click “Submit,” and an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
- Enter the OTP correctly to complete your GATE Registration for 2024.
- A unique enrollment ID will be generated for future reference.
Step 2: Application Form Filling
- Log in using your unique enrollment ID and password to access the GATE Application form.
- Fill in your personal details (candidate’s name, father’s & mother’s name, date of birth, nativity, etc.), academic details (academic qualifications from HSC till graduation), and communication details (current & permanent address).
- Select the GATE paper you intend to appear for. Note that once submitted, your choice of paper cannot be changed.
- Choose three preferred GATE Exam Centre cities. The first two must be from the same zone, while the third can be from any GATE 2024 regional zone.
- Enter the photo ID number and the type of ID for Photo Identity Proof.
Step 3: Uploading of Documents
- Upload the required documents, including a valid ID proof used in the previous step, scanned photographs, signatures, category certificate (if applicable), and PwD Certificate (if applicable), all following specified size and format requirements.

- Change in Date of Birth: Rs. 500
- Change in choice of examination cities: Rs. 500
- Change of existing paper: Rs. 500
- Add a second paper (from given combinations with respect to the primary paper): Rs. 500 plus application fee for the additional paper
- Change of gender to female: Rs. 500
- Change of gender from female to any other gender: Rs. 500 + ₹ 900
- Change of category to SC/ST: Rs. 500
