Earlier only Rs 15 lakh was given and in Gram Panchayat with population of more than 2000, the government will give a grant of Rs 25 lakh to build the Gram Panchayat building. Earlier this grant was only Rs 18 lakh.

• Earlier, 10% fund was required to be given to Gram Panchayat for construction of Gram Panchayat building, but now this condition has been cancelled.
• The government received information that 4252 gram panchayats in Maharashtra did not have offices. In such a situation, the government approved the creation of Gram Panchayat under this scheme.
• Between 2018 and 2022, approximately 1748 Gram Panchayats have been given approval to construct buildings.
• Till now Rs 38 crore 13 lakh 50 thousand have been spent under the scheme.
