- Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI (or) from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in respective trades of Carpenter/Furniture and Cabinet Maker.
- Matriculation/ SSLC plus course completed Act Apprenticeship in relevant trades mentioned above

Candidates must meet the medical standards i.e. B-1 prescribed by the Railway Recruitment Board. They should be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties associated with the post of Technician.

RRB Technician Exam Pattern 2024

Exam Pattern for CBT 1
CBT 1 consists of 75 questions carrying 75 marks and will be conducted for 60 minutes. RRB Technician Exam Pattern 2024 for CBT 1 is as follows:

- CBT 1 will be qualifying in nature.
- Normalization of marks will be done for multiple shifts of the examination.
- There will be 1/3 negative marking in CBT 1.
Exam Pattern for CBT 2
CBT 2 consists of Part A and Part B. Part A consists of 100 questions on Mathematics, General Intelligence and Basic Science and Engineering and will be conducted for 90 minutes. However, Part B of CBT 2 will consist of 75 questions from the relevant engineering trade of the candidates and will be conducted for 60 minutes.
