Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has announced complete waiver of fuel surcharge for consumers consuming more than 200 units of electricity. It has been announced to abolish fuel surcharge for all domestic and agricultural consumers of Rajasthan.

Earlier, the Chief Minister had announced abolition of fuel surcharge and other charges up to 200 units for domestic consumers. But today, on August 10, 2023, increasing its scope, the Chief Minister has announced the abolition of fuel surcharge for all domestic and agricultural consumers.

Now domestic and agricultural consumers of Rajasthan will not have to pay shell charge. The state government will bear the amount of Rs 2500 crore towards fuel surcharge.

The Rajasthan government is giving 100 units of electricity free of cost to domestic consumers. While farmers are being given 2000 units of electricity free of cost. Along with this, fuel surcharge up to 200 units has also been waived. Fuel surcharge is charged for consuming more than 200 units of electricity.

This unit has an average fuel government of 30 to 70 paise per unit. The rate of fuel surcharge varies depending on the electricity bill. But now Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot has abolished fuel surcharge for all domestic and agricultural consumers.

Fuel surcharge has been abolished in the electricity bills of all domestic and agricultural consumers of Rajasthan. This will give a lot of relief to the consumers in the electricity bill. This announcement has been made on 10 August 2023 by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan Mr. Ashok Gehlot.

The abolition of fuel surcharge in Rajasthan electricity bills will reduce the burden of electricity bills on domestic and agricultural consumers. This is a good news for all the domestic and electricity consumers of Rajasthan.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has played a master stroke ahead of the elections, giving huge relief to 1.40 crore domestic and agricultural electricity consumers of Rajasthan. Now domestic and agricultural electricity consumers will not have to pay fuel surcharge. Entire surcharge has been waived by the government. Now the government itself will bear this charge.
