The main objective of Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana 2023 is to eliminate malnutrition from Rajasthan by adhering to the provisions of the National Food Security Act 2013.
Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana 2023 Objective
The main objective of Rajasthan Indira Gandhi Matritva Yojana is to reduce the incidence of low birth weight and wasting by improving the health and nutritional status of pregnant and lactating women and children up to 3 years of age. Indira Gandhi Matritva Yojana aims to comply with the provisions of the National Food Security Act 2013 as well as adopt social and behavioral change communication strategy to meet the goal of Rajasthan Government’s malnutrition prevention strategy ‘Suposhit Rajasthan Vision 2022’.
Indira Gandhi Maternal Nutrition Scheme was launched by the Chief Minister on 19 November 2020. In the budget announcement for the year 2020-21, Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot had started this scheme in the tribal districts of Pratapgarh, Dungarpur, Banswara, Udaipur and Baran near Rajasthan. Then from April 1, 2022, this scheme has been implemented for all the districts of Rajasthan. Under Indira Gandhi Maternal Nutrition Scheme, 3 lakh 50 thousand pregnant women of Rajasthan can avail its benefits every year. Under Indira Gandhi Maternal Nutrition Scheme, on the birth of the second child, a cash benefit of Rs 6000 is given to the beneficiary in five installments.

Under Indira Gandhi Maternity Scheme 2023, on the birth of the second child, beneficiaries will be given a cash benefit of Rs 6000 in the following five phases. This amount will be deposited directly into the beneficiary’s account.

Indira Gandhi Maternal Nutrition Scheme is a paperless scheme. In Rajasthan Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana 2023, the application and selection process of beneficiaries is done online. To avail the benefits of Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana 2023, it is necessary to have registration on PCTS, Jan Aadhaar ID and mobile number. PCTS of Medical and Health Department has been integrated with Raj Poshan Portal of ICDS. Any information like details of prenatal checkup, child vaccination, family planning means etc. can be taken by the woman registered on PCTS ID. On complying with the conditions of the scheme, the beneficiary information is automatically registered in the Rajposhan portal.

Women can take the help of their Anganwadi worker/helper to avail the benefits of Indira Gandhi Maternal Nutrition Scheme 2023. Beneficiaries can apply online for Indira Gandhi Maternal Nutrition Scheme 2023. The selection process will also be online. For this, a portal has been developed under the Directorate of Integrated Child Development Services. After verifying the copy of the answer from the Anganwadi worker or Asha Sahyogini as per requirement, arrangements will be made to pay the prescribed amount in a phased manner. The amount will be paid to the beneficiary in his personal bank account linked to Jan Aadhaar.
